Montserrat activity

The Montserrat Volcano Observatory reports that the Soufriere Hills activity remains at a low level. There was no significant changes in the lava dome. Spots of incandescance could still be observed on clear nights.Sporadic

pyroclastic flows may continue to occur without any warning. The Hazard Level is 3 (out of 5). (Source: MVO, September 2011)

Activity in Dominica

The Seismic Research Center (UWI) is monitoring a volcanic earthquake sequence in northern Dominica which started on June 26th. This activity remains moderate and could be linked to the Morne au Diable volcano (Source: SRC)
